M-Cube does business in more than 105 countries and works with leading brands across a wide range of industries including fashion & luxury, banking, food & beverage, and high street retail.
In September 2017, HLD acquired a majority stake in M-Cube from its founders and management, who reinvested in the company. At the time of the deal, M-Cube already occupied a leadership position on the Italian market for in-store digital services, in addition to strong historical growth and profitability. It also had a unique positioning in the fast-growing niche of digital signage, a segment expected to add 20% per year, driven by the increasing number of companies looking to digitalize their in-store experience. Together with the management team, we saw the opportunity to turn an already successful domestic leader into a European front runner, including through inorganic growth.
