A hackathon to bring out tomorrow’s solutions
Alumni For The Planet, in partnership with CEWAS and the Union for the Mediterranean, organizes the Mediterranean Hackathon for Young Water Entrepreneurs, which aims to identify and support innovative solutions in water management and the blue economy.
In 2026, two projects received awards. AGRIVITRO combines artificial intelligence, IoT sensors and solar energy to optimize water and energy use in agriculture and preserve water resources.
Smart Re Rustica is developing a smart system for detecting agricultural pests so that interventions can be better targeted. By reducing pesticide use, the solution helps limit soil and water pollution and protect coastal and marine ecosystems.
