HLD
HLD, a European investment group, has always been guided by a strong entrepreneurial culture and the arrival of Michèle Detaille as an independent director on October 21 is meaningful.

Indeed, as a successful businesswoman who took over the No-Nail Boxes company and then developed the Alipa group, Michèle will bring a double expertise, economic and entrepreneurial.

President of Fedil (Federation of Luxembourg Industrialists) since 2019 and the most influential economic personality in Luxembourg in 2020 according to Paperjam magazine, Michèle has also had an important political career in Belgium.

This appointment is part of the growth of HLD's activities and is fully in line with the international development of the group, already present in Luxembourg, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

We are very pleased that the Board of Directors of HLD Associés Europe has proposed the appointment of Michèle Detaille. Michèle's remarkable entrepreneurial background and her political commitment to the company are major assets for us. Her arrival strengthens our governance, our position as a key player in long-term private equity and our European dimension

Jean-Bernard Lafonta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HLD Associés Europe.

HLD accompanies high-growth companies in a wide variety of sectors - as Michèle Detaille points out - and I am honored by the confidence that the Board of Directors of HLD Associés Europe has shown in me by appointing me as an independent director. I am looking forward to participating in its development in Europe

About the HLD Group

The HLD Group, established in Luxembourg since 2015, was founded by a group of entrepreneurs, and aims to support management teams in building leading companies in their field. With several success stories, including the sale of the cosmetics company Filorga to Colgate Palmolive in 2019, it has grown rapidly and today supports, with 2 billion in capital, 21 companies (including, for example, Kiloutou, TSG, ba&sh, SVR...) that employ 35,000 employees and are growing at an average rate of more than 10% per year. In addition to financial and human resources, the HLD group provides the companies it supports with the expertise and time they need to succeed. Its approach is based on an entrepreneurial partnership and emphasizes responsible operational development rather than financial leverage. Committed to reflecting this DNA in its governance, since 2015 it has included among its independent directors figures from the Luxembourg entrepreneurial landscape: Robert Dennewald (Contern S.A) and Xavier Buck (EuroDNS), joined in 2019 by Viviane Clauss (Banque de Luxembourg).
