Pure Ocean

Pure Ocean is an endowment fund with an international scope created in 2017 and based in Marseille. It aims to mobilize civil society, in France and internationally, to support applied research projects for the protection of fragile marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

We collaborate to financially support various innovative applied research projects for the Mediterranean Sea, selected by Pure Ocean's scientific committee based on an international call for projects. One of the latest projects supported by HLD is the 3D-4-SEAC Project (3D for Sea Conservation of Sapienza, University of Rome) which maps in 3D and tracks vulnerable Mediterranean habitats by photogrammetry "structure for motion".
